August is Bursting

August is bursting at the seams here in New England!  It’s probably my favorite month of the year…  It can never last long enough.  Like a perfect kiss.  Or a black raspberry ice cream cone.  Or a brilliant sunset on a great vacation.

The trees along the highway looked like a great bushy rug today, so thick I could picture wriggling my toes down into it.  Every vine, flower, bush, pod and stalk is almost at its fullest – big and proud and green (or pink or red or blue…).

It’s like everything is singing loud here, all together, and colors are sounds.

11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
   let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them;
   let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
13 Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes…”

Psalm 96:11-13

Have a wonderful weekend, especially the parts where you get to sing His praises too.
