“His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:23
It’s been one of those weeks in which I could really sense God’s mercy.
Riley got a blasting head cold, and couldn’t sleep lying down the night after Christmas. He slept on my lap, fitfully, which naturally kept me up. But this didn’t last all night.
Both boys weren’t sick at the same time. And it WASN’T a tummy bug. Thank you, God!!!
Everyone in the family was healthy enough to enjoy Christmas together. And we were able to see my cousins, whose careers in the Air Force and Coast Guard take them far away.
A twister of some sort recently touched down on my parents’ property. (In New England?!) It hit right between their barn and their house, tearing off the fence and cover on their above ground pool and scattering debris.
I know this is mild compared to what many people go through; but it’s still scary to think of what could have happened.
Do you ever wonder what might have happened on any given day if God’s hand hadn’t been up, stopping it?
I’m very happy to stand behind my Father’s legs, peeking timidly out at the possibilities. Despite what toddlers may think, Mommies get scared too.
But great is His faithfulness.
